Irregular lines, strong colors, contrast and imagination. With these compositions, artist Daniel Pellegrim Sanchez will be showing his canvases in Cuiabá. Sanchez's exhibition, which opened yesterday at the Cultural Space of Shopping Goiabeiras, puts the artist's abstract surrealism  on display until April 23.

Sanchez is one of the new crop of artists. Although he has been drawing and painting since childhood, he only started exhibiting his work two years ago. The style of this man from Marialva, Paraná, follows the masters Dali and Miró. Abstract, pop and surrealism can be found in his acrylics on canvas. According to Daniel Sanchez, his source of inspiration depends on the moment, the scene he is experiencing. “I draw inspiration from everyday life. From a fishing trip, a stroll through the city,” he says.

Intuition is the author's strongest and most striking trait. In his work, each viewer will have a vision of the work or even a reinterpretation of the work on display. From everyday figures such as urban landscapes or nature, the artist develops great works. One of them, which will be in the exhibition, is an image of a VW Beetle smiling, the result of the painter's “artistic daydreams”. The other, which won a prize in a competition promoted by Muxirum Cuiabano in July 1998, features an image of fish, produced from Sanchez's imagination and characteristic features.

Despite his 24 years of age and two years on the art circuit in the state, Sanchez has managed to win awards while perfecting his technique. In 1997, the artist from Paraná began showing his work in solo exhibitions, published cartoons - another segment in which he also works - took part in the XVII Salão Jovem Arte Mato-grossense, Salão Plástica Amazônia (Amazônia State Department of Culture) and exhibited one of his canvases in the Painel Eletrônico.

Traços irregulares, cores fortes, contraste e imaginação. Com essas composições, o artista plástico Daniel Pellegrim Sanchez estará apresentando suas telas em Cuiabá. A exposição de Sanchez aberta ontem no Espaço Cultural do Shopping Goiabeiras, coloca o “abstracionismo” do artista em evidência até 23 de abril.

Sanchez é um dos artistas da nova safra. Apesar de desenhar e pintar desde a infância, há apenas dois anos passou a expor seus trabalhos. O estilo deste paranaense de Marialva, segue os mestres Dali e Miró. O abstrato, pop e o surrealismo podem ser encontrados nos acrílico sobre tela do pintor. De acordo com Daniel Sanchez sua fonte de inspiração depende do momento, da cena está vivenciando. “Tiro inspiração do dia a dia. De uma pescaria, de um passeio pela cidade”, informa.

A intuição é o traço mais forte e marcante do autor. Em seus trabalhos cada espectador terá uma visão da obra ou ainda, fará uma releitura do trabalho exposto. De figuras corriqueiras como paisagens urbanas ou da natureza o artista desenvolve grandes obras. Uma delas, que estará na exposição, é a imagem de um Fusca sorrindo, fruto de “devaneios artísticos” do pintor. A outra, premiada num concurso promovido pelo Muxirum Cuiabano em julho de 1998, traz a imagem de peixes, produzidos a partir da imaginação e dos traços característicos de Sanchez.

Apesar dos seus 24 anos de idade e dois no circuito das artes no Estado, Sanchez conseguiu conquistar prêmios ao mesmo tempo que vem aperfeiçoando sua técnica. Em 1997, o artista paranaense deu início as mostras com exposições individuais, publicações de charges – um outro segmento no também atua – participou do XVII Salão Jovem Arte Mato-grossense, Salão Plástica Amazônia (Secretaria de Cultura do Estado da Amazônia) e expôs uma de suas telas no Painel Eletrônico.
